At Whole Tooth, whitening is done using custom made clear plastic trays, and carbamide peroxide gel. This technique has been around for many years, and we have 15 years experience of tooth whitening using this particular technique.
There are other more powerful ways to whiten teeth, including the use of lights, and lasers.
But we prefer this way:
- As it is gentler on the teeth, and has been shown to not to damage teeth, it can take a bit longer.
- The Patient is in control, so you can dictate the amount of lightening you want.
- The Tooth whitening is a lot more predictable, and lasts a lot longer compared to other ways. Also, because you already have the trays, the whitening can be maintained long term at little additional cost.

The whitening trays are made from soft clear plastic, which is 0.75 mm thick. They are very discrete, and are barely noticable when worn. The trays need to be worn only 1 hour per day, with noticable results within 3-4 weeks.
